Strengthening institutions is a foundational objective of projects supported. Effective climate and biodiversity action depends not only on technical solutions, but on capable, transparent, and well-coordinated public institutions. By building institutional capacities at national, regional, and local levels, IKI projects create the conditions for sustainable policy implementation, long-term ownership, and lasting impact beyond individual project cycles.
