About the organisation
IBEKA (Business Initiative and People’s Economy) is an organisation that works to empower Indonesian communities. Established in 1992, IBEKA is a pioneering social business entity. Based on more than 30 years of experience in village development, IBEKA has formulated a four-pillar programme to make villages empowered, independent, and sustainable. IBEKA improves the livelihoods of rural communities through access to local resources with appropriate technology, especially renewable energy, and community-based social business.
