The communities in Satkhira District, Bangladesh, are highly vulnerable to climate change-related disasters, including droughts, cyclones, floods, and soil salinization, which impact agricultural production and livelihoods. The IKI Small Grants project aims to promote climate-resilient livelihoods, advocate for climate justice, and strengthen knowledge and awareness on climate risk management and adaptation. The project will inform 720 households about climate-adaptive livelihoods, support 36 village groups with capacity building, and submit 150 Right to Information requests to public authorities. Additionally, several ‘Youth Climate Clubs’ will be established. Collaboration with various institutions will facilitate the upscaling and replication of successful strategies.
