Capacity development
In addition to providing of funding, IKI Small Grants supports AHDI in their organisational capacity through:
- Monitoring and evaluation training: Enhance staff capacity to effectively implement programs, track progress, and document impact.
- Governance and leadership training: Strengthen board members’ skills in governance, accountability, and networking for better oversight.
- Gender mainstreaming training: Build staff capacity to integrate gender perspectives across all programs, promoting equality.
- Communication and resource mobilisation: Improve visibility and support local and international fundraising efforts.
- Professional and technical skills development: Equip staff with sustainable agriculture knowledge and keep finance personnel updated on sector trends through Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) conference, for instance.
About the organisation
AHDI is an organisation that improves the quality of lives of children with disabilities and their families. It provides early intervention to children with disabilities, builds the capacity of the parents/caregivers for better management of their children’s conditions and improved livelihood, raises awareness on disability, and advocates for disability inclusion.
