Cambodian rural communities face climate shocks, resource degradation, and limited access to services. Extreme poverty, vastly depleted natural resources and aggravating impacts of climate change lead to decreased yields, drive social conflicts and migration in the rural provinces of Kratie, Stung Treng and Ratanakiri in the north-eastern of Cambodia. The objective of this 24-months project is to empower communities, majorly indigenous and youth populations through capacity development and on-the-ground pilots to demonstrate and promote resilient agricultural practices and support enhanced agricultural production with focus on vegetable and cash crops. Measures include the establishment of a training center in Banlung town and local demonstration sites to support the farmers of nine villages of Veun Sai district in Ratanakiri province.
